About [RIFTS]
Since 2012 the Indigenous Fashion Fashion and Textile Showcase [RIFTS] has been an annual event that provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander models and designers an opportunity to showcase their clothing designs, materials, brands and beauty.
In the past, we’ve had a total of 18 indigenous artists, 32 indigenous models, 6 sponsors and 4 retails stores involved in the Dawul Wuru Indigenous Fashion Show.
The event has enhanced the leadership and confidence in young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have participated in the show and overall, provides a great night of entertainment and enjoyment for the whole community.
This years 2016 Regional Indigenous Fashion and Textile Showcase [RIFTS] will be held at the Rydges Tradewinds in Cairns on 11 June 2016.
